Today, I would like to share with you a free software that is great for taking screenshots. While you don't necessarily need additional software for taking screenshots, if you want to increase your workflow and have more advanced features, then you should try a third-party software. I have been using this software for a few years now and I have not been able to find a better alternative since. It has saved me a lot of time and effort while writing blog posts.
The software that I am referring to is called Lightshot. It is a tiny software, yet very useful. Personally, I use it when making video tutorials, blog posts or whenever I need to save a page from the web. It allows me to save my screenshots as JPEG or PNG format and also allows me to add text instantly. I can mark any area instantly without having to save it and can copy the image to the clipboard. What's more, it has a feature called "share" which allows me to easily share the screenshot with my friends without having to log in or anything.
